It is important to obtain an even coverage either by spray, brush or trowel. A good build-up of product is essential where 1 litre of product should cover 1m2 of surface. (1 Litre of RRL/1 square metre of RRL)
Ensure all areas to be treated are fully immersed in Dip tank.
Dissolve Rust Remover Powder (UMIX) in water using a plastic tank (container).
Rust Remover Powder (UMIX) Mixing Ratio is One (1) part (By Weight) Rust Remover Powder (UMIX) to 2.5 parts water (By weight/volume) or 2,5 litres of water to 1kg of Rust Remover Powder (UMIX).

Rust Remover Powder (UMIX) once turned into RRL (Rust Remover Liquid) is re-useable several times. Filter to remove impurities.
Always store in plastic container(s).
Before re-using (UMIX) which is now Rust Remover Powder Liquid ensures surfaces are thoroughly cleaned of oils and dirt.
Rust Remover Powder (UMIX) is best suited to use in Dip/Immersion tanks. Rust Remover Powder (UMIX) which will now be in Rust Remover Liquid (RRL) may be used in conjunction with Rust Remover Paste (Thick) or Rust Remover Gel (Sprayable). RRL may be brush or sprayed on Airless Sprayer.
RRL may be covered with the Rust Remover Paste (Think) or Rust Remover Gel (Sprayable). Rinse or Pressure Wash at 2,100psi.
It is recommended that temperatures are above 5 to 10oC. The product works better at warmer temperatures. Surfaces should be dry. Good ventilation should be provided in confined areas.
Glass, rubber and delicate surfaces should be proteted.
Do not freeze this product. Temprature Range 5C-40C.
Store in a cool well-ventilated location. Do not store in direct sunlight.
Rust Remover PASTE (THICK) Rust Remover GEL (SPRAYABLE) can be left on the substrate indefinitely and will not attack the healthy metal.
If left, the Rust Remover PASTE (THICK) and Rust Remover GEL (Sprayable) forms a “crust” on the surface, acting as a protective barrier for carbon steel items, preventing rust from occurring during transport or storage.
When item is ready for use, pressure washing will remove hardened “crust” and substrate is clean, free of mill scale and ready for use.
If a pressure washer is not available, Rust Remover PASTE (THICK) and Rust Remover GEL (SPRAYABLE) can be applied to the surface to “reactivate” itself so that it can be removed by washing.
